The Sunny weather has come back to Gotham, and what better way to kick off spring break 2010 than partying with Miguel Migs at New York City premier underground nightspot Sullivan Room.

I couldn’t believe there was such a thing as Disney Jail until March 7th, when Disney, the parent company for ABC, stripped the Academy Awards signal from 3.1 million New Yorkers because of cash dispute. Thirteen minutes into programming ABC appeared to relent by restoring the signal to New Yorkers, but has the damage already been done?

he general belief is that we in the Western World live in a civilized society. To keep it civilized we have all sorts of rules; some are legal and others are just forms of behavior we call common courtesy. This brings me to a pet peeve I have developed over the past few years. I believe that young children do not belong in upscale restaurants where patrons pay large sums to enjoy fine dining.

How one welcomes the New Year varies in significance depending on who you ask. For some people it’s just another day on the calendar; whereas, others may view it as a precursor to how one plans on spending the rest of the year. Everyone at Roseland Ballroom on New Years Eve brought in 2010 with a monstrous countdown followed by a heart-pounding set by none other than New York favorite, Paul Van Dyk.

“Sparkle Lane is a street in England where my grandmother lived,” Rogers explains. “The concrete was mixed with pieces of broken glass, so when I was a kid and I’d go to my grandmother’s house in the evening, the street would always look like it was sparkling. That’s how life felt to me as a kid.”

Formed in 1987, Green Day is a rock band consisting of the always entertaining Billie Joe on vocals and guitar, funky Mike Dirnt on bass guitar, and, of course, Tré Cool on drums. The band has sold over 22 million records in the United States, won three Grammy Awards; Best Alternative Album for Dookie, Best Rock Album for American Idiot, and Record of the Year for “Boulevard of Broken Dreams”.

Julia wrote her first song at age 15 and has since authored the music and lyrics of over 100 original songs. Drawing from an endless, eclectic library of musical influences and her own colorful, if sometimes quirky, dark, life experience, her songs relate heartache, romance and sorrow, to licorice, viruses and engines.

San Francisco-based producer and DJ Behrouz, is difficult to label as he is like the music he creates and spins: a combination of really good music that can consist of deep house, tribal, a touch of electro, progressive and minimal techno. A veteran DJ recognized worldwide for his long running residency at San Francisco’s Release Club 1015, Behrouz is fast becoming a key player in the global dance music scene.

The Ecstatic is the fourth solo album from New York MC, Mos Def. It features collaborations with Slick Rick, Talib Kweli and Georgia Anne Muldrow, as well as production by Mr. Flash and the late J Dilla.
