How do you feel about Michael Jackson releasing an album more than a year after his untimely death? When I heard about the release of this new track called “Breaking News” I thought to myself, wow, Tupac, Kurt Cobain, George Harrison, and Aaliyah have all gone down this road so why does it feel strange that Michael Jackson’s camp does the same thing?

UK powerhouse Kasabian released their third record The West Rider Pauper Lunatic Asylum on June 9th, 2009 in the United States, on RCA Records. Produced by Serge Pizzorno and Dan the Automator (Gorillaz, DJ Shadow), it is a follow up to their second albumEmpire which debuted at #1 on the UK charts and was rewarded 9 of out 10 stars by the NME.

One of the most iconic and influential pop acts in the world, Pet Shop Boys return with their tenth album and first for Astralwerks on April 21, 2009. In a career spanning over 2 decades, the duo of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe have created some of the most beloved and recognizable hits in the world (West End girls, It’s a sin, New York City Boy, etc.), and sold over 30 million records.

Not only does this album reveal another dimension into Chris Cornell’s bottomless soul, it give listeners insight into how this man re-built himself mentally and emotionally from past demons.
