The video for their song “Renegade” opens with the sad reminder that 6 out of 10 American teens witness bullying at least once a day. With all of the recent instances of cruelty being reported in the media, the band’s goal with their first song is to rally teens around a message of tolerance and acceptance.

Linfinity are a New York City based group of musicians who helped form a band around enigmatic front man Dylan Von Wagner. The initial impetus behind the endeavor could best be described as a spark, or the clicking on of a light bulb.

Alright, we all know the story about Dave Mustaine being kicked out of Metallica before the band recorded its first album, 1983’s Kill’Em All, and the how Mustaine was so pissed after his departure that he created the band Megadeth, which he deemed harder and faster than Metallica. But this didn’t settle anything.

Although “Bad Things” is the song that took off, Red Revelations is filled with heavy music that grabs at the soul with unbelievable precision. “Burn For You,” is a riveting song that emphasizes how hot the feeling can be when two people are madly in love.

Painted On Water, the duo of star Turkish performers, whose current self-titled album project by the vocalist Sertab Erener and composer/guitarist Demir Demirkan, recently performed at the Hiro Ballroom in New York City. A highlight of their show, “Love” features a powerfully haunting and mesmerizing vocal by Erener with a rare background vocal by Demirkan.

New Amerykah Part Two (Return of the Ankh) incorporates sampling and live instrumentation, while its more personal lyrics focus on themes of romance and relationships. Badu has described its sound as “very analog”. Recording during 2006 to 2009, a portion of the album was recorded at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios.

The year was 1990, and the location was Hertfordshire, England, the same location where some of rock’s most historic events took place: Led Zeppelin’s final British show & Queen’s final performance headed by Freddie Mercury. Approximately 120,000 people descended upon Knebworth Park for the massive all-star concert benefiting the Nordof-Robbins Music Charity Centre and the Brit School for Performing Arts.

There was a new sense of vigor and excitement. We’d never felt more excited to be making music. I wrote songs frantically, all the time. I would go out and come home in the morning with my pockets full of napkins that I’d written lyrics on. The songs were darker, stranger.
